New update is IN! The Steam release is so close, i would love to get somemore feedback as the changes are HUGE!
Game Mechanics and Balance Changes:
- New upgrade type: increased damage from spell level-ups.
- Legendary Lightning Laser now spawns an additional laser which extends to the sides of the target.
- Added an easier difficulty [more attack delays, warn timer increases, slower projectiles, less speed, lower damage for enemies].
- Reduced the difficulty curve in the early game, especially making enemies much less tanky in the first minutes of the run.
- Reworked some older stats like Rerolls/ Banishes etc. such that those can be made to appear on items or lvl-up perks (flexibility), introduced lots of new stat icons.
- Added tooltips to show the exact effects of your status ailments, based on your current status strength.
- Added a parry mechanic: the first hit taken during a parry will be ignored.
New Content and Features:
- Added 2 blessings (Can't be chosen in this update).
- [BETA system] added the first challenge: survive 60 seconds in a small realm. When the progress bar of a world reaches 100% you may try yourself at its challenges [Challenge bar fills slowly with each minute survived in a normal run, once full you have endless attempts at the challenge realm]. One unlock's condition was redesigned to beat this challenge instead. We'll see in the future if more challenges should be added.
- Added 9 new songs.
- Implemented a pause menu.
- Added a character page for the pause menu where you can see the current selected class, equipped items, and the values of defensive + utility-oriented modifiers.
- Added a spell page for the pause menu. For every spell you own, you may check up on additional hidden values (Knockback distance, Penetration, Multicast delay, etc.) as well as the current run statistics like "Current DPS."
- You can now additionally look up all of the current stats for all your proc spells, as well as their basic statistics like DPS or damage dealt.
- Added a submenu to see all prophecies which were taken during a run.
- Added a prerun menu where you can select your starter spell. Additionally, you see the elements and spells chosen for this run in this menu (Will be able to reroll with some unlocks).
- Added 2 new prophecies: split the map by several lightning lasers.
- Added a new class: Duelist.
- Added a new utility spell: Parry.
- Split the Relic of Greed into 2 separate relics effects.
- Screen shockwaves are not paused when the game pauses.
- Added menu transition animations.
- Added notifications for a helmet drops.
Bug Fixes and Optimization:
- Fixed a bug where hell scaling mod wasn't working properly.
- Fixed a lagspike introduced by triggering a prophecy with a laggy text.
- Fixed a bug where cast on cast could trigger itself.
- Fixed a bug where if you had a spell + had the same spell as a proc, the proc profited from level-ups despite having a fixed level.
- Small adjustments to the new tooltips, as well as new labels in the main menu which indicate the number of looted helmets and overall unlock percentage.
- Slightly reworked the after-run spell stats screen (icons, text size).
